As a special edition to mark the 110th anniversary of the Rouge et Noir fountain pen (1906 – 2016), the Montblanc Heritage Collection Rouge et Noir Special Edition is a unique combination of the famous classic Rouge et Noir fountain pen, with the image of the snake that appeared on the Writers Edition Agatha Christie pen. This combination brings a more modern version of the fountain pen while still maintaining the classic features of the fountain pens that appeared before 1920.

The snake symbol on the pen tip is made from metal, hand-curved around the pen tip. The snake symbol on the lapel clip is also processed to look more classic, this seems simple but in fact it takes significantly more time than traditional gold or platinum plating. The remaining point to note is that the pen nib is also embossed with the snake symbol and is made from 14K gold. The pen in the picture has a size F nib, quite versatile for all needs.
