“Once upon a time…” – These are probably the words that each of us often hear from nostalgic fairy tales, talking about magical forests, magical creatures, heroes and beautiful princesses. Montblanc has launched the Montblanc Writers Edition Homage to the Brothers Grimm Limited Edition pen line, honoring the two German brothers with the legendary pen name The Brothers Grimm.
The Brothers Grimm have produced timeless fairy tales that have been loved by countless generations and adapted, remade, and reinterpreted countless times. This Limited Edition is part of the Montblanc Writers Edition line that pays homage to the legendary writers and folklorists, the Brothers Grimm, taking inspiration from two of their most famous stories – “Sleeping Beauty” and “Tangled”.
The gold version represents the story of “Sleeping Beauty”, the cap of the pen has the letter “D” representing the German name of the story “Dornröschen”, next to it is the engraved signature of the two writers. This pen is inspired by the strong sparks, the clear water and the deep darkness – details that come from the vivid fairy tale.
The black version tells the story of the princess Rapunzel with the letter “R” on the cap of the pen. The entire body of the pen is covered with wavy images symbolizing the long hair falling from the tower. The black color reminds us of the dark old forest where the princess is imprisoned.
Montblanc has once again reinterpreted the fairy tales that the Brothers Grimm collected and told us centuries ago. These limited editions will be elements to continue the legacy that the great writers of the Grimm family have left for generations. “Once upon a time…” – “Once upon a time…” four words are engraved on the wonderful pen as a tribute to the Brothers Grimm.
