The Meisterstuck Solitaire Czar Nikolai is a fountain pen in the ultra-high-end segment of Montblanc. Introduced to the world in 1996, this pen is like a magnificent work of art, with two noble colors of gold and green.
Do you see the sophistication and beauty of the blue on the cap of this pen? It is definitely not made of ordinary material, but rather, this is Malachite (also known as peacock stone), which has been found and used since the time of the ancient Roman Empire.
This stone is mostly used for jewelry, but people still remember it most when it decorated the palace of the Russian Tsar. That is also the reason why this pen model is named “Czar Nikolai”, not because Nikolai is the most famous Tsar, but because he is the last Tsar of Russia, closing the glorious history of magnificent palaces.
In addition to gemstones, this fountain pen also uses high-quality Ag925 Silver for the pen body. The silver is covered with a layer of gold plating, perfectly combining and enhancing the blue color on the pen cap. Along with that, the pen body is also added vertical stripes by Montblanc, giving us a more balanced feeling with natural stone grain.
Finally, the nib, the result of the experienced handcrafting of Montblanc artisans. This nib is made entirely from 18K gold by Montblanc, attached to a resin handle with a green color that matches the color of the stone. Overall, it creates a pen version that can be said to be the rarest of Montblanc's pens.
The pen has been discontinued for a long time, and is now available at Genuine Pens store in brand new condition, extremely suitable for collection due to its value.
