For Vietnamese people, the mascot of this year's New Year is the Cat, but the image of the Rabbit is used by many other Eastern countries to become the mascot of the New Year. Montblanc also created a pen version based on the legend of this Rabbit.
Montblanc has been creating pens to celebrate the Lunar Year since 2015, drawing on myths and legends from the East that have been told for thousands of years. The image of a rabbit engraved on the pen cap stands upright, representing alertness and responsiveness, just like how a real rabbit would behave. The image of trees and mountains symbolizes wealth, success, and is also a symbol of good luck.
The body of the pen is a rose gold-plated “lucky cloud” image that contrasts with the pen cap. And the end of the pen is inlaid with an extremely precious pearl. The pen tip is made of Au750 real gold, engraved with an image of a rabbit and cabbage. The tip of the pen is the familiar Montblanc logo image using mother-of-pearl material.
