The Meisterstück Around the World in 80 Days collection is inspired by the famous adventure novel of the same name by French writer Jules Verne. And the design you are seeing is one of the four special designs of this Collection – the Doué pen with 2 materials: anthracite lacquer and metal, representing the second leg of the journey from Bombay to Yokohama.

The main characters travel in this part of the adventure on a majestic elephant, so this elephant is also clearly engraved on the side of the gold-plated metal lid. The lid also has lucky symbols, also stylized to resemble the vast forest that the main characters pass through.

The lacquer is crafted in a beautiful light brown, the lacquer is also shown on the diamond card above the pen clip. And the pen's tail is engraved with a pattern and a deck of cards, representing Mr. Fogg's bet in the story, to make the journey in 80 days.
