As one of the versions in the newly launched Collection of Montblanc –  Masters of Art Homage to Vincent van Gogh, the most famous painter of the 19th century. This special edition pays tribute to his time in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence and Auvers-sur-Oise, with design details reflecting the Provencal skies and one of his most famous paintings, “Wheatfield with Crows”.

The number 1899 is engraved on the barrel next to Vincent van Gogh’s signature, commemorating the year he moved to Saint-Rémy. The painting “Wheatfield with Crows” strongly influences the design of the pen, through the blue lacquer, the color of the Provencal sky, along with the gold frame coating made of solid Au750 gold representing the golden wheat fields in the painting.

The stars shining brightly in the night sky over the wheat field are represented by sparkling particles in the blue lacquer of the pen body and in the Au 750 solid gold Montblanc emblem on the top of the pen cap, dipped in the blue lacquer.

Montblanc's brush knife is subtly featured on the pen's clip, while his love of smoking pipes is also incorporated into the design, with the top of the clip resembling a pipe bowl and decorated with a yellow citrine stone.

The image engraved on the gold nib of this pen is the painting “Almond Blossom” by Vincent van Gogh himself.
