Montblanc Masters of Art Homage to Vincent van Gogh Limited Edition 4810, the first pen version Genuine Pens would like to introduce to you is in the Masters of Art Homage to Vincent van Gogh Collection, the collection that Montblanc created to honor the world's painter Vincent van Gogh, one of the most famous painters of the 19th century.
The Limited Edition 4810 highlights his time in Arles with design details reflecting the Provencal wheat fields and one of his most famous paintings, “Sunflowers”. The year 1888 is engraved on the barrel ring – alongside Vincent’s signature in bright orange – to commemorate the year he moved to Arles.
The pen body is decorated in orange-yellow, reflecting the sun-drenched landscape of southern France, the famous sunflower painting has inspired the nib handcrafted in solid Au 750 gold, coated with rhodium.
In honor of the artist’s passion for traditional Japanese woodblock prints, the overall shape is inspired by a Japanese woodcutting knife, while the pen cap is made from wood. The clip also pays subtle tribute to Mr. Gogh’s interests: his passion for pipe smoking inspired the top of the clip, which resembles a pipe bowl; the bottom of the clip resembles a painter’s palette knife.
The pen tip is crafted from yellow resin with the familiar Montblanc logo.
