Montblanc has collaborated and launched pen versions with other famous big brands. And one of them is Pirelli – Pirelli is a leading automotive and tire company in the world, headquartered in Milan, Italy, and founded in 1872 by Giovanni Battista Pirelli (1872 is also the number of this pen model worldwide). Pirelli is one of the leading tire manufacturers and is known for the quality, performance and advanced technology of its products.
To create the Montblanc Meisterstück Great Masters Pirelli Limited Edition 1872, Montblanc combined its hundred years of pen manufacturing experience with tire manufacturing techniques, meticulously hand-engraved on both Pirelli tires and the black rubber material of this pen, creating a special pattern inspired by what Pirelli has created throughout its years of development.
And to perfectly combine with the black rubber, Montblanc used Ruthenium plating for all the metal details on the pen model. The pen tip, the Montblanc symbol, instead of the usual plastic, the artisans used mother-of-pearl and agate to create a strong attraction for this limited pen, along with the red inner ring accents on the pen body with precious lacquer material.
