Launched nearly 12 years ago, the Montblanc Meisterstuck Solitaire Doue Gold & Black Rollerball Pen has always been popular with Montblanc collectors, not only because of the pen's distinctive color design but also because of the way the details on the metal cap are created.
The design of the pen is still based on the traditional design of the Meisterstuck line, but in this version, the artisan has combined black lacquer material on gold-plated metal. The sophistication is shown when few people can recognize it at first sight and they always ask questions about the above details. To create a lacquer work on a large area is not difficult, but if the area is extremely small and sharp like the photo you see, it requires high skills from the artisans.
