Each slice of gold is meticulously and patiently plated onto the pen body by Montblanc artisans, then covered with a layer of lacquer as a way to protect the work they have spent so much effort to complete. Along with that is a jet black PVD coating on the metal details, perfectly combined with the black body of the pen model.
