Belonging to the Meisterstuck Solitaire Doue Vermeil line, the pen in the picture is a "refreshed" version of this line launched by Montblanc after 2000. Although the design of the pen has not changed, the material used to make the pen cap has changed quite a bit: The pen cap is made of Metal 2, plated in gold with a color tone that feels more modern than the classic lines. The pen tail still retains the size and style of the traditional Meisterstuck line, but the material is much higher quality. To distinguish, MontBlanc has cleverly engraved a very small line of Metal text right on the pen handle (in fountain pen lines, Montblanc will use 18K gold for the pen nib instead of the usual 14K gold of the basic Meisterstuck line).
