The shape of the pen is the image of the oar that Robison used to escape the deserted island. It is still crafted from Montblanc's signature resin but has a very vivid and delicate wood grain. The pen's lapel clip is the image of a feather, symbolizing the parrot that was Robison's friend during his days on the deserted island.
