The Montblanc Writers Limited Edition Daniel Defoe is a limited edition pen by Montblanc in honor of Daniel Defoe. He was a British writer, journalist, and economist, and author of the famous novel Robinson Crusoe. Robinson Crusoe, or Robinson on the Desert Island, is also the work that inspired Montblanc to create this pen line.
The shape of the pen is the image of the oar that Robison used to escape the deserted island. It is still crafted from Montblanc's signature resin but has a very vivid and delicate wood grain. The pen's lapel clip is the image of a feather, symbolizing the parrot that was Robison's friend during his days on the deserted island. The version you see in the picture is the ballpoint pen with serial number 6704 out of 8000 produced worldwide. A pen that is worth having in the collection of Montblanc pen collectors.
