Part of the Montblanc Patron of Art line, the Hommage à Andrew Carnegie pen pictured here was released in 2002 in a limited edition of just 4,810 pieces worldwide. Named Andrew Carnegie, it is not a tribute to Andrew Carnegie, the man known as the Steel King or the third richest man in the world. Rather, it is a tribute to the art nouveau style that Andrew Carnegie loved and supported.
The most impressive feature of this pen is the image of a girl designed instead of the pen's clip, with wings wrapped around the pen cap like a butterfly. Montblanc has cleverly used decorative motifs in Ag925 silver to increase the contrast when combined with the characteristic black color of precious resin. It also increases the value of the pen.
The pen you see in the picture is serial number 4.006/4810, the nib is handcrafted in 18K gold with impressive engraved patterns. The pen is size M, versatile for all daily needs.
