Almost every year, Montblanc launches a special product line called Meisterstuck UNICEF Collection to sponsor the United Nations Children's Fund (Unicef) in its campaign to improve the lives of children around the world. In terms of design, this product line is not much different from the regular Meisterstuck line, but the most important highlight is the pen tip stylized with a circular pattern and an impressive blue sapphire stone.
The pen you see in the picture is the first version of the UNICEF Collection line produced in 2009, and is also a rare gold-plated version of this pen line (For some reason, later UNICEF versions of Montblanc only used Platinum as the main color). The pen is a collectible purchased in 2009, very unique and rare to collect.
UNICEF – The United Nations Children’s Fund has many campaigns for children around the world, especially in the areas of education and health. Montblanc in 2009 began to launch the annual UNICEF Collection pen line, with the first model being the Montblanc Meisterstuck UNICEF Collection 2009 Ballpoint Pen.
This first UNICEF Collection pen is also the only one to use Gold plating (later years use Platinum plating). Therefore, plus this is the opening version of this pen line, so this pen model is also the rarest Classique version of the pen line.
In terms of design, the pen retains the traditional shape of the Meisterstuck line. The only difference is that the sapphire is attached to the tip of the pen with an olive branch surrounding it, directly related to the olive branch on the UNICEF logo.
