Montblanc Meisterstuck Le Petit Prince Collection is a pen line inspired by the novel The Little Prince (French name: Le Petit Prince), published in 1943, the most famous novel by French writer and pilot Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. The pen is crafted in two versions: a popular version made mainly of Montblanc's signature blue resin and a premium version crafted of blue lacquered metal combined with Platinum plating.
The pen in the picture is the version The standard version is crafted from Montblanc's signature resin, this blue color is inspired by the work's imagination of the deep blue of the cosmic sky. The image of the fox in the work is cleverly combined by Montblanc designers with fox face motifs engraved on the entire surface of the pen. The lapel clip is also lightly decorated with a funny image of a star covered in yellow lacquer.
Montblanc Meisterstuck Le Petit Prince is inspired by the poetic novel “The Little Prince” by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. A seemingly simple story for children but containing many layers of meaning that adults must ponder.
This blue version is one of the first pens that Montblanc launched in the Le Petit Prince line. With the image of a fox's face engraved on the surface of the pen cap, the image of the fox represents a friend, trust and a special connection between friends that no one else can replace.
The fox taught the Little Prince and us an important lesson about friendship, which is probably why Montblanc chose this image for its first Le Petit Prince pen line.
