In 2022, Montblanc launched the Montblanc Patron of Art Homage to Victoria & Albert Limited Edition – a remarkable pair of pens, honoring Queen Victoria and Prince Albert. The version you see is the pen model for the first Queen of the United Kingdom.
The pen is designed to be worthy of the Queen of history, with the cap and barrel crafted from red lacquer and the frame details of the pen body covered in Au750 real gold. This frame is inspired by the coronation collar and monogram of the queen's name, while the red color is described as resembling the cloak worn when she was crowned.
The pen’s other metal details are plated in a luxurious Platinum finish, while the clip is a tribute to the Queen’s scepter, and the brilliant green Tsavorite stone is reminiscent of her engagement ring.
The pen’s tip is inspired by the British royal crown and is adorned with the familiar Montblanc brand symbol in a unique mother-of-pearl material. While the ring on the pen’s barrel is engraved with the word “Albert” and their wedding date.
The pen nib is also a special tribute to the “English Rose”, as Montblanc used a handcrafted solid Au750 gold nib and engraved a charming rose branch in Gold on Platinum plating. This is also an extremely high-end pen version with an extremely expensive price.
