A regular Montblanc pen version will be launched with a small square or rectangular box design, fitting the pen. But the Johann Strauss Donation Special Edition is one of the few pen models launched with a separate box design, quite large in size, both a masterpiece for collectors and extremely formal to use as a gift.
The pen has an elegant design, larger than the Meisterstuck Classique line, but fits well in the hand, giving a comfortable feeling. The most prominent feature is the clip that has been changed to the shape of a violin bow, and the pen ring is also marked with Johann Strauss's signature.
Included with the pen is a small music box, recording an excerpt from “The Blue Danube” – one of Johann Strauss’s most famous Waltz.
