The Montblanc Patron of Art Homage to Napoléon Bonaparte is a tribute to the military leader whose life had a profound impact on world history.
The overall design is inspired by the neoclassical style. The blue lacquer is inspired by the blue uniform he wore as a consul, as this edition commemorates his time as French consul. The spiral on the barrel pays homage to Colonne Vendôme.
The sword-shaped clip bears the letter “N” for Napoleon. The engravings on the top of the pen include a laurel wreath, a crown and an eagle – all references to Napoleon’s coronation insignia. The Montblanc logo is also crafted in shimmering mother-of-pearl. The end of the clip is decorated with a red garnet reminiscent of the coronation ring worn by Napoleon’s wife, Joséphine.
Paying homage to Napoleon Bonaparte, the nib of this edition is crafted from solid 18K gold and features a portrait of Napoleon with his famous bicorn.
