James Byron Dean (1931 – 1955) was an American actor and a cultural icon of teenage disillusionment and social alienation, as evidenced by the title of his most famous film, “Rebel Without a Cause” (1955), in which he played the troubled teenager Jim Stark.
The overall shape of this pen was inspired by the blade used by James Dean in the movie “Rebel Without a Cause”. The precious wood cap was also inspired by this scene. The pattern on the pen body is crafted in Ag925 sterling silver and was inspired by the engine engraving on his favorite sports car.
James Dean’s famous quote “Dream as if you’ll live forever. Live as if you’ll die today” is also engraved on the barrel of the pen. This edition is limited to 1931 copies worldwide and also symbolizes the year of his birth.
