John Fitzgerald Kennedy was a politician and the 35th President of the United States, serving from 1961 to 1963. The youngest politician ever elected President of the United States, Kennedy was also the youngest President to die, at the age of 46.
Montblanc has had some very special pen editions to honor this US president, especially the Limited Edition 1917 editions.
The navy star adorning the end of the pen alludes to Kennedy’s career in the US Navy, as well as the colours of the US flag: red, white and blue are also the main colours used on this pen. The pen body is crafted from lacquer and the underside of the lacquer has been engraved with extremely delicate alternating zigzag patterns.
The decorative engraving on the cap rim is inspired by Kennedy’s presidential campaign slogan “A Time for Greatness,” along with JFK engraved on the pen clip. The three rings represent his three brothers, and the 10 stamps on the cap and pen end represent the 10 members of the Kennedy family.
