Balancing light and dark, the Blue Hour version is crafted from blue lacquer on the barrel and platinum-plated metal cap. Just like the “Blue Hour” concept on which this pen is based, the pen resembles an abstract painting of the beauty of the evening sky.
The blue of the lacquer paints an image of the sun just setting and the sky appearing with a little light gradually fading into the night. That is also the time when the lights begin to flicker, described by Montblanc with hexagonal blue stripes arranged in a row, interacting with the light like miniature lamps. The metal pen cap is crafted smoothly and plated with bright platinum, a way for Montblanc to honor the beauty of the pen body that is so elaborately crafted.
The pen is also part of the Blue Hour collection that was just launched in recent years, the water ball version is now available in stores.
