The Meisterstück Around the World in 80 Days collection is inspired by Jules Verne's famous adventure novel. And the Solitaire version is crafted from black ebony, inspired by the 80-day journey from Bombay to Yokohama.
This pen is made of wood to remind of the detail of Mr. Fogg - the main character of the novel, saving a young widow from the funeral pyre, who is also Princess Aouda, a young woman of the Brahman religion.
The main characters travel in this part of the adventure on a majestic elephant, the image of which is also engraved on the metal plate on the side of the pen cap. The forest that the main characters pass through is also clearly shown in the pattern all over the pen body, these pattern symbols are also lucky symbols inspired by India, China and Japan.
The clip end features a red lacquered diamond and the pen end is engraved with a deck of cards, representing Mr. Fogg's bet to make the journey in 80 days.
