Meisterstuck can be considered the most “favored” pen line, when the company launched up to 3 commemorative lines and certainly will have more in the future. Actually, there is nothing preferential or biased here, because Meisterstuck has been a brilliant symbol since its launch in 1924. Starting with small innovations, a pen shape like a cigar, pioneering the use of precious material such as gold to create the pen nib, Meisterstuck has become a true “Masterpiece” as its name implies.
With the milestones of 75 – 90 – 100 years, corresponding to the 3 years of release: 1999, 2014 and 2024, the commemorative pens both demonstrate the great heritage of MB and add and create new things. Like this pen made of lacquered steel, this is the high-end version in the 90th anniversary collection of the Meisterstuck line. With a purple glow with patterns that interact with light, the pen clearly shows the creative thinking of the artisans, the design seems to come out of ancient stories, full of pride and magic.
While the Meisterstuck line has up to 3 different anniversary collections, the other pen lines are hardly done the same. Instead, those pen lines are only maintained in production for a certain period of time, maybe within 5, 10 or 20 years, then production is discontinued and replaced by another pen line. For example, the previous Generation was replaced by Cruise and now the more familiar PIX.
This year (2024), the company has created the “Meisterstuck The Origin” collection, which is also the 100th anniversary edition of this pen line. So do you want to talk about the pens in this collection next time?
