An upgrade from the previous Red Gold Resin line, this pen replaces the resin with a sturdy pen body made entirely of rose gold-plated metal. You will see that the rose gold plating does not cover the entire pen, but instead appears subtly through horizontal and vertical stripes, giving it a unique look that no other version has.
The stripes are created in a rather special way. The company coats the entire pen with a layer of matte black lacquer, then inserts the pen into a cutting machine, calculating precisely to cut through the lacquer and reveal the sparkling rose gold. The result is a beautiful diamond-like cut, which Montblanc calls “Diamond-cut”.
The pen is currently discontinued and is collected at Genuine Pens in brand new condition.
