Belonging to the Montblanc M RED pen line, the high-end Signature fountain pen version you are seeing is much improved compared to previous M RED pen models. This pen line is also part of the RED organization's campaign to support the end of AIDS. For each product in the Montblanc M Red and Montblanc M Red Signature lines sold, 5 Euros will be contributed to the Global Fund.
In terms of materials, perhaps the biggest change is that this pen model does not use the plastic material like the previous version, but instead uses a solid metal coated with a layer of Palladium Nickel. This pen model also becomes much heavier.
