Montblanc releases a Montblanc UNICEF pen almost every year, to support the United Nations Children's Fund (Unicef) in helping and improving the lives of children around the world.
With the Montblanc Meisterstuck UNICEF Collection 2009 version, a rather special version, when the metal details of this pen model are plated with luxurious Gold. This is also the only version using this plating color and for some unknown reason, in later UNICEF versions Montblanc only uses Platinum as the main color.
The pen features a blue sapphire on the tip and is surrounded by a pattern of two olive branches, which is also one of the symbols of UNICEF.
