The patented diamond is a unique version of the Montblanc diamond. The way they cut this precious stone into the six-pointed Montblanc logo is extremely difficult. The six points, representing the six glaciers on the summit of Mont Blanc, are perhaps the most challenging part, as it requires a high level of technique to create such a symmetrical design with so many curves.
At the same time, the Montblanc fountain pen version always uses real gold to create the nib leaves, both showing class and making the pen softer and smoother. This pen model uses a 14K gold nib, multi-purpose size M.
